This video is an example of brain research playing out in in a Kindergarten classroom. The sound has been turned off, so you will be able to tune in to the actions of the students and not the words and lesson. The video starts 5 minutes and 15 seconds into the lesson and ends at 7 minutes. The off task behaviors begin to show right at the start; yawning, hands inside shirts, heads rolling and shaking, turning around, standing up, and even walking away. You will likely find more behaviors than the ones listed, but most importantly see that the length of a lesson does make a difference in the ability to stay focused.
