Do you have students who want to declare a goal other than the one you have chosen for them? Meet Gabe, a second grader in Sue's class. Gail and Sue meet with Gabe, listen to him read and discuss his fluency goal and quickly find out he wants to be working on Tune in to interesting words. He longingly looks to the CAFE Menu where others have declared their goals and wants to move his name and start collecting words of his own. Listen in as Gail and Sue figure out a solution and then debrief the conference.
