Magic Cookie Bars

This recipe is special to me because these were my favorite cookies that my mom would make for the holidays when we were growing up. It is such a simple recipe that always brings back good family memories. The thing that makes them even more special now, is pulling out the recipe that was hand-written by my Dad that is "tinted" with many years of holiday baking.
