Losses are hard. We at the Daily CAFE were saddened this week to hear about the passing of our dear friend and colleague Suzanne Rea. A valued member of our team, Suzanne led our Daily 5 online seminar, moderated our discussion board, and prepared our weekly Member Minutes. She was collaborative, creative, kind, humorous, hardworking, and dependable. Her passion for education and children was evident in everything she did. Her presence was calming, and her smile was contagious.
In last week's Tip, Kristin Ackerman reminded us how much we benefit from opening our doors and sharing our lives with people who make us better, our "better-than-me's." These individuals push our thinking, model our path, and help us be the best version of ourselves. Suzanne was definitely our "better-than." She will be greatly missed.
As Marian Wright Edelman said, "Education is for improving the lives of others, and leaving your community and world better than you found it." We will always remember Suzanne for living these words and leaving the imprint of this legacy on the many lives she touched.
