All the important decisions and activities on which we spend our time and energy become meaningless if we accomplish them by sacrificing our own well-being and don't take time for personal growth.
What do I mean by "personal growth," and how can you achieve it? Begin by taking time for yourself. Making yourself a priority doesn't mean that you're being selfish or lazy. It's necessary and rejuvenating. Take some time to read a book, listen to a podcast, or try out a new hobby.
Anything that helps you relax and rest is intentional personal growth, and we all need that. It will help you become a better leader, teacher, spouse, parent, and friend—a better you!
Start small. What will you do for yourself today?
